Our Favorite Cafés We Enjoy Walking To!

It's just too hard to pick favorites here at the beach! Each restaurant, café, and even ice cream shop is so unique!! So I thought we would share our favorite things to get from a few places you can walk to! I don't think we've ever really had anything we didn't like, but we definitely have at least one thing at each place we find ourselves ordering over and over again!

COFFEE, TEA, & SWEETS

THE KOOKABURRA Coffee Shop -This is where I start so many of my days. To be completely honest, I've been known to stop in as much as 3 times in one day!! So much more than coffee. We walk there often, or swing by when out running errands. The Kook is located at the corner of 3rd St and opens at 6:30 every morning until 8pm every night. My favorite drinks are the Mocha Nut (hot or iced) Iced Green Goddess and Hot London Fog. The cookies they have there are so unique, and change often. One of my favorites was an Earl Grey cookie, but they are all delicious, and large enough to share.

CONE HEADS ICE CREAM Who doesn't love walking to get good ice cream at the beach!! You'll love Cone Heads Ice Cream located on the beachside corner of 7th St! Try some of their seasonal flavors, or if you are me, just get chocolate every single time. This ice cream is so good, you'll want to stop by every day!

BREAKFAST & LUNCH

CAFE 11 We love to walk to Café 11 on Sunday mornings for the weekend brunch buffet, and you can get breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. They open daily at 7:00am. and are located at 11th Street. Our breakfast favorites are the everything omelets and the chocolate chip banana pancakes! Our lunch favorites are the apple turkey sandwich, and the Cuban.

STIR IT UP A little spot on "A" Street we wander down to (or ride bikes) is Stir It Up. Open for breakfast and lunch you'll find some healthy items that are also super delicious! For breakfast we love the breakfast burrito, and lunch we love The Nutty Mother Salad (it's huge) and the Surfer Chick. Smoothies are always delicious, it's hard to pick, but I think our favorites are the Natural Mystic, and the Uprising.

LUNCH & DINNER....and Late Night!

MANGO MANGO'S Another spot on "A" Street we end up at pretty often for lunch is Mango Mango's. They have fun Caribbean cuisine that we crave! When we stop in for lunch I always get the "Do The Mango Wrap!" another favorite is the quesadilla wrap. For dinner we love the corn cake with jerk pulled pork. My favorite drink there is the Key Lime Pie Daiquiri... so fun and islandy!!

THE TACO SHOP Officially named "A1A Burrito Works Taco Shop" it's the all day and LATE NIGHT favorite of both locals and vacationers, young and old!! This is BAJA STYLE FOOD!! They open at 11AM each day, and close at 10PM... Weekends they stay open until about 2AM!!! So if you hungry and it's late, walk to The Taco Shop. It down on the corner of 1st St. Be prepared to wait in a line... It's not bad though, you might meet new friends or hear some live music while you wait! What to order? The UFO. Seriously, that should be the first thing you try. I always get the Mahi, black beans, Baja style. You'll enjoy sitting outside at the picnic tables with tacos and a cold drink so much you'll just keep going back.... we do!!
